A friend of mine told me a story of his up bringing living in the lower eastside of Manhattan. He discribed the things he saw, the drugs, the alcohol, the violence etc. Then he said to me, but look at me, none of those things ever touched me. I replied, but do you know Christ?. What does it matter that you did not do those things and live without Christ? I said, my friend I would rather live in poverty with Christ than live in luxury without Him.
